Innocent people.

Women. Children. The elderly.

Fleeing their homes in search of safety.


I think about all they left behind.


I think about all that lies ahead.


Families separated.


Homes destroyed.


Lives turned upside down.


Fighting for freedom.


All while the world watches.

Jen,

I just read your post from yesterday after posting mine this morning. They are SO SIMILAR - in format, in content, in everything. Our hearts are breaking, we are feeling helpless and it's unimaginable.

It is horrible and sad and hard to understand. My heart is heavy too. This slice is so simple, yet says so much and lets the reader feel your emotions. This is very powerful.
